Providence Anime Conference Membership Agreement

These policies apply to all registered members of Providence Anime Conference.

1. All registered members agree to comply with Providence Anime Conference rules and policies, the directions of Providence Anime Conference, Rhode Island Convention Center, and Westin Providence staff, and all applicable Rhode Island, federal, and local laws.
2. A member may have their membership revoked and be expelled from the premises for any reason at the sole discretion of Providence Anime Conference staff. No refund will be given in the event of such expulsion.
3. All members must be age 21 or older as of October 3, 2008.
4. Members agree to allow photographs, audio, and/or video with their likeness to be used by Providence Anime Conference or the New England Anime Society for promotional purposes.
5. Members agree to provide complete and accurate registration information. Providence Anime Conference is not responsible if a member cannot be contacted with the information provided.
6. Payment must be sent immediately once the payment form is filled out. Paypal payments must be received within one day; mail-in payments must be received within two weeks or your payment will be cancelled. Payments which do not clear are subject to a $20 service charge. Providence Anime Conference is not responsible for payments which are lost in the mail.
7. Membership is non-refundable and non-transferable. Badges and membership may not be resold. Conference staff reserve the right to check ID for anyone they suspect is carrying a badge that is not their own.
8. Badges must be worn and visible at all times for access to the conference. Each member must retain possession of his or her own badge for the duration of the conference and may not loan or give the badge to anyone else except as directed by Providence Anime Conference staff.
9. No replacement will be provided for lost badges; a new membership must be purchased at the full rate. Damaged badges may be replaced at the discretion of the Registration Manager. (Bring the pieces to Registration.)
10. Providence Anime Conference reserves the right to censor or refuse badge names that may be considered obscene, vulgar, or otherwise offensive or inappropriate. Such determination will be made at the sole discretion of Providence Anime Conference staff.
11. The only valid registration rates are those posted on the registration page. No discounts will be given except as listed on that page.
12. Badges are only available for pickup during listed registration hours and only at the conference. Badges will not be mailed. No badges of any sort will be issued other than during the listed registration hours.
13. A valid, permanent government-issued photo ID which displays a date of birth is required for badge pickup. No temporary IDs or learner's permits will be accepted. Other forms of identification, such as school IDs and credit cards, are not accepted.
14. Each member must pick up his/her own badge.
15. Any person found attempting to forge a membership badge or presenting forged ID will be removed from the conference and may be banned from future Providence Anime Conference and New England Anime Society events.
16. Any attempt to compromise the security of the registration process or gain unauthorized access to member data will result in loss of access to the registration system, loss of Providence Anime Conference membership without refund, loss of membership to other New England Anime Society events, and possible legal action.
17. This membership agreement may be modified at any time, as deemed necessary by Providence Anime Conference and/or The New England Anime Society.
